When sending PDF files for commercial printing it is necessary to load the correct job settings in Acrobat Distiller before distilling the file to PDF format. This ensures that all the fonts and images are embedded correctly for both output, and any alterations that may need to be done at the output provider. We have our own settings for Distiller that have been optimized for printing in our shop. We also have specific settings for proofs of your job, so that we may view them for comparison of output on files that have been sent via E-mail or FTP.

1.) To use these custom job setting files, copy the files "epilogue.ps" and "prologue.ps", which are in the "Data" folder, to your Acrobat Distiller folder (the same folder where the Distiller Application is located).

2.) Copy the Artcraft ".joboptions" files to the "Settings" folder, which also is in the Distiller folder.

3.) Select the desired setting in the "Job Options" pop-up menu before distilling your job.
